  • No long-term contracts

The problem

Cost per lead is the wrong number. Cost per install is the right one.

Cost per install = lead price ÷ (contact rate × set rate × show rate × close rate). A cheap lead that shrinks any of those isn’t cheap. Run yours in the calculator below.

  1. 01

    The race on shared leads

When the same homeowner is sold to several installers, the fastest dialer usually gets the sit. Everyone else paid for a lead with long odds.

  2. 02

    “Exclusive” leads resold as aged

Some vendors resell “exclusive” leads as aged inventory a few weeks later. Your homeowner then hears from every installer who bought the cheap list.

  3. 03

    Dead numbers and renters

Fake numbers, renters and wrong addresses burn setter hours before anyone notices. Without a written credit policy, that cost lands on you.

  4. 04

    Sets that never sit

A booked appointment that no-shows still costs your closer the drive and the afternoon. Judge appointments by cost per sit, then cost per install.

How it works

How to buy solar leads here. One call, then leads in your CRM.

Book a strategy call
  1. 1

    Book a 15-minute call

Tell us your ZIPs, how many leads your setters can work, your financier’s credit floor and whether you want leads, appointments or both.

  2. 2

    Confirm territory and filters

We confirm availability by ZIP code, write down your filters and quote your price, so you know what qualifies before the first lead ships.

  3. 3

    Start with a test batch

Leads land in your CRM, dialer, email or SMS in real time, each with the homeowner’s answers and a consent record attached.

  4. 4

    Scale when the numbers work

Report dead numbers, wrong details or off-filter leads within 7 days for credit review. Track cost per install, then adjust filters or add volume.

Anatomy of a lead

What an exclusive solar lead looks like. Every answer labeled.

Each lead arrives with the homeowner’s answers and the checks we ran, so your setter knows what to confirm on the first call.

Labeled self-reported or checked
Phone, homeownership, duplicates against your leads and DNC are checked before delivery. Bill, shade, financing and timeline are self-reported.
Financing preference up front
Cash, loan, lease or PPA is on the lead, so your setter opens with the right offer instead of guessing.
Timeline for routing
Send 0–3 month timelines to your fastest setter and longer ones to follow-up. The lead tells you which is which.
What your setter confirms first
Bill and shade come from the homeowner. Have your setter confirm both before a closer drives out.

Policies

The terms, in writing. Before you buy.

Most vendors bury these in a terms page or skip them. Here’s exactly what you’re buying.

Checked before every delivery

  • Phone number validated before delivery
  • Homeowner status self-reported, then checked against property records
  • Duplicate-checked against leads already sent to you
  • Scrubbed against the National Do Not Call Registry

Exclusive means exclusive

Exclusive leads are sold to one company — never resold, never recycled, and never sold later as aged leads.

Bad-lead replacement · 7 days

Replacement credits for disconnected numbers, wrong contact details, or leads outside your filters. Reply to the lead notification (or email us) with the reason; approved credits apply to your next batch.

Not covered: a prospect who isn’t interested, doesn’t answer, doesn’t get financing approved, or doesn’t buy.

Consent on every lead

Every lead carries a timestamped consent record (certificate) whose disclosure names your company — available to you on request.

No long-term contract

No long-term contracts. Start with a test batch, scale when the numbers work.

Your territory

Territory availability is confirmed by ZIP code on your call.

The 2026 market

Fewer deals and longer cycles in 2026. Wasted leads cost more.

SEIA and Wood Mackenzie forecast a 23% contraction in U.S. residential solar in 2026, and installers report longer sales cycles and falling close rates (Sep 2026). Wood Mackenzie also expects residential CAC to rise about 40% in 2026 (Mar 2026). A shared lead or a slow callback now costs more.

  • 25D has ended, so financing comes first

Since Jan 1, 2026, homeowner-purchased solar installed in 2026 or later doesn’t qualify for the federal 25D credit (IRS, Jul 2025 OBBBA). Talk to your tax advisor.

  • Residential selling is shifting to TPO

Reps are shifting to TPO and prepaid leases (WoodMac, Mar 2026). As of Oct 2026, the system owner, not the homeowner, may claim 48E (deadline below). Ask a tax advisor.

  • Solar 48E has a Dec 31, 2027 deadline

Commercial and TPO projects that didn’t begin construction by July 4, 2026 generally must be placed in service by Dec 31, 2027 to qualify. Talk to your tax advisor.

Owner to owner

You run crews, reps and payroll. Leads shouldn’t be a gamble.

Idle crews still get paid. Setters who spend a morning on dead numbers stop trusting the lead source, then stop dialing. We built this for owners who judge leads by cost per install and want the terms in writing before the first batch.

  • You set the volume. We size it to what your setters and closers can work.
  • Exclusive costs more per lead. If it won’t lower your cost per install, we’ll tell you.
  • Our replacement-credit policy is on this page before you spend a dollar.
  • Tighter filters mean fewer leads at a higher price. We’ll show you the tradeoff.

Fit check

Who this is for, and who it isn’t.

A good fit

  • Residential EPCs with their own crews and setters
  • Dealers and sales organizations with closers who need sits
  • Multi-state installers who want one spec across territories
  • C&I installers and EPCs, plus residential shops adding C&I
  • Owners who track cost per install

Probably not a fit

  • Teams that can’t call a new lead within minutes
  • Buyers who want aged lists or bulk shared volume
  • Installers outside the ZIPs we serve (we’ll tell you on the call)
  • Anyone who wants a guaranteed close rate. We don’t promise one.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before the first batch

Don’t see your question? Bring it to the call — we’ll walk through your territory, filters, and numbers.

Book a strategy call
What does Buy Solar Leads sell?

Three solar programs: exclusive residential solar leads for installers with setters, booked solar appointments for closers with open calendars, and commercial leads or booked meetings with C&I and multifamily prospects who self-report their role. We also sell bathroom and kitchen remodel leads to remodelers on the same terms. Every lead is delivered in real time and sold to one company.

Are your exclusive solar leads sold to anyone else?

No. An exclusive lead is sold to one company. It’s never resold, never recycled and never sold later as aged inventory. If another installer reaches the same homeowner, it isn’t because we sold them the lead.

What happens if a lead is bad?

Replacement credits cover disconnected numbers, wrong contact details and leads outside your filters. Report it within 7 days by replying to the lead notification or emailing us the reason; approved credits apply to your next batch. A booked appointment that no-shows, reported in that window, is replaced. Not covered: a prospect who isn’t interested, doesn’t answer, doesn’t get financing approved or doesn’t buy.

Are your leads TCPA-compliant?

We don’t label any lead “TCPA-compliant,” because compliance also depends on how you call: your dialer, calling hours, attempt limits and state rules. What we give you: a timestamped consent record (certificate) on every lead, available any time, whose disclosure names your company, plus a National Do Not Call Registry scrub on every number. Review your calling practice with your counsel.

How are leads delivered, and what’s checked before they reach me?

In real time, to your CRM, dialer, email or SMS, by webhook, Zapier or a direct integration where one exists. Before delivery, the phone number is validated, homeowner status (self-reported) is checked against property records, the lead is duplicate-checked against leads already sent to you, and the number is scrubbed against the National Do Not Call Registry.

Which states and ZIP codes do you cover?

Territory availability is confirmed by ZIP code on your call. Bring the ZIPs, counties or states you install in and we’ll tell you what’s available. If we can’t serve an area, we’ll say so instead of selling you leads you can’t work.

How much do solar leads cost, and is there a contract or minimum?

Price depends on the program (lead or booked appointment), your state and ZIPs, the filters you set and your volume. Tighter filters mean fewer leads at a higher price, which is why we don’t publish a rate card. There’s no long-term contract: you start with a test batch and scale when the numbers work. Batch size, payment terms and your price are agreed on the call.

Should I buy leads, booked appointments or commercial leads?

Buy exclusive leads if your setters can call within minutes. Buy booked appointments if your closers have open calendars and you don’t want to run setters. Commercial leads and booked C&I meetings suit installers, EPCs and residential shops adding commercial. Remodelers should look at the bathroom and kitchen programs. Not sure? Tell us how your sales team is built and we’ll tell you which fits.
